Well the Thunderbirds kicked off the new season with 2 games at Christine Morrison last night . Game one was a hard fought battle with the home team squeaking out a narrow victory 16-9. John “Canadian tire “ Sephton played a strong game with great defense and hard work. As well, the younger Fury lad Peyton “Talkative “ Fury had a great game once he paused talking and concentrated on running and hustle . Game two was a stellar effort lead by Dylan “ “ “MR.HUSTLE “ Fury. He lead all players with 10 points and at times controlled the floor. His sidekick Taika Rogers was a reliable helper with 10 assists and 4 rebounds. Next game is November 14th

The Thunderbirds had game two of their young season last night at Hillside traditional school on Best Ave in Upper Mission. Game one was a hard fought battle between the two teams. The Hawks of Hillside pulled away for the victory in the fourth quarter. Alivia "TALL GAL" Poetker had a real good game and scored her first points of the season. Addison "Flamingo" Marshall and Sylas "Smooth Hands " Haley were stars of the game. Game two was a great game against the second team from Hillside. Kabir Kandhari and Prince "Little Man " Brar were standouts in their hustle and movement on the court.
Next game is November 21 at Albert McMahon
Well the thunderbirds finished the season with a strong performance on Thursday. In game one they defeated Albert McMahon 24-12. Kabir and Senuka had strong games on both sides of the ball. In game #2 the thunderbirds lost a close game 32-26. Viraj and Venuka were co winners of most valuable players on the court. Overall , a good season with many ups and downs ,hustle and spirited play . The playoffs start on Thursday November 28th at their home court .

The Thunderbird basketball season came to a disappointing end on Thursday night. In game one they faced the ESR Ravens. It was a real see saw battle between the two teams. The game went in onetime and the Birds lost by a single basket.
In game two, the Thunderbirds started strong and took control of the game by the 3rd quarter. Final score was 33-2. Overall, a great season and looking forward to Volleyball after the break.
